Join us in our search for new, innovative ways to aggregate small business payroll data and solve key business problems for our customers - small business employers and/or their employees. Think about how to use the information and experience from other small business employers to, for example, help them answer questions they may have, help them make decisions, and make them more efficient when they hire, pay, manage and retain employees.
We’re looking for unique and user-focused ideas or suggestions that solve real customer needs and pain points. Sources of data can include aggregated Intuit payroll data (non-company- and non-employee-identifiable) combined with publicly available information. The ideas should be pragmatic and implementable by a small team, with the goal of creating a user-testable prototype in a month or less. The ideas should not raise any privacy or security concerns.
We’ll hold a one-day “data jam” on August 12, 2010, in both Mountain View, CA and Reno, NV, which will include Intuit teams as well as you, our potential external partners. The day will be divided into two parts, the first focused on clearly defining big customer problems and the second focused on identifying potential solutions. At the end of the day, each team will have the opportunity to review their idea – the customer problem to address and the initial solution idea – with Intuit business leaders. They’ll get visibility for their idea as well real-time feedback, advice and coaching on next steps from the business leaders.
If you submit an idea for this challenge, Intuit will give you a list of available small business payroll data elements that can be used for this project. In the prototyping phase, Intuit will make available sample data sets that can be used to build and test the prototype.
To submit an idea for this challenge, use on of the following two methods:
